Valley Youth Hockey Association is pleased to announce tryout information for the 2021-2022 Roanoke Jr. Dawgs Travel season.

The Roanoke Jr. Dawgs is a Tier II Hockey Club that fields competitive teams that focus on player development while providing a safe and fun environment to build a lifelong love of the game. Roanoke Jr. Dawgs travel teams participate in the Carolinas Hockey League (CHL) in all divisions where team levels match, as well as the Eastern Junior Elite Prospect League (EJEPL).

Roanoke Jr. Dawgs 2021-22 travel team tryouts will be conducted beginning May 22 at the Lancerlot Sports Complex and each player will be assessed a $25 tryout fee. The tryout schedule for the 2021-2022 season of Jr. Dawgs travel hockey is as follows:

10 U - Squirt (2011, 2012)

Saturday, May 22  9:15am - 10:15am

Sunday, May 23  8:00am - 9:00am

12U - Pee Wee (2010, 2009)

14U - Bantam (2008, 2007)

16U/18U Midget (2006-2003)

1. All skaters and goalies are required to attend all tryout sessions for their respective age groups.  Supplemental tryouts may be scheduled at a later date for players who have commitments that cannot be avoided on these dates.  The Age Group Coordinator will coordinate this opportunity with any players who may need to tryout at a later date. The Age Group Coordinator and contact information is listed above. It is your responsibility to contact the Age Group Coordinator regarding any missed sessions. You still must register at this time, even if you have a conflict with the tryout sessions. 
2. Any player who participates in tryouts must adhere to the Lancerlot current safety guidelines. Information found at https://lancerlotsportscomplex.com
3. The organization's goal is to field teams at 10U, 12U, 14U, and 16U/18U.  Where the number of participants can support, we will field multiple teams at some levels.  The number of teams and level of play is ultimately subject to the number and quality of the selected players

USA HOCKEY REQUIREMENT

In order to register to participate in VYHA Travel Team Tryouts, we are allowing each participant to provide their USA Hockey membership confirmation number for 2020-2021 (expiring August 31, 2021). The 2020-2021 USA Hockey number will only be accepted for this Tryout only, all other registrations will require 2021-2022 USA Hockey number.

The 2021-2022 USA Hockey registration number is valid for this registration. If you do not have a USA Hockey registration number you must first complete registration with USA Hockey. Once a USA Hockey registration confirmation is received, return to this Registration Session to signup for the 2021-2022 VYHA Travel Team Tryout. Directions below to obtain USA Hockey number:
