Hello everyone! This is Paul from Ascend Hockey.

I wanted to reach out and just give you a little more information about myself and my hockey company Ascend Hockey.I am originally from Edmonton, Alberta Canada and I grew up playing at the top levels throughout my career. I have been involved with the Edmonton Oilers Development program since that age of eight and continue to work with their programs in the summer. I have also obtained an exercise physiology degree at Liberty University (while playing for their D1 hockey team) which has allowed me to legally train people of all ages. After college I did play professionally, however I decided to continue my involvement in hockey through my company Ascend Hockey. I am extremely excited to continue developing and working with the players of Central Virginia , as I have seen all of my players take their games to the next level. 

I also have my two younger brothers (Roman and Jacob ) who help run my company. After playing top levels in Canada for his age , Roman decided to take his hockey skills to Liberty University where he has just completed his first semester. My brother Jacob has just finished playing for Honeybake in his U16 season. Jacob was on the teams leading scorers and his team was ranked as a top 5 team in the country for his age group! Both have gone through the same training I have and are both elite hockey players. We are so excited to get a chance to put on a hockey camp later this month for the players of Lynchburg and Roanoke. If you would like more information on the Ascend Hockey camps you can check my faceboook, instagram and website .   • Learning basic to advanced edge control and power skating techniques
  • Increase puck control skills through a variety of different stick-handling skill techniques  
  • Coupling puck control with edge work , beginning from slower controlled movements and progressing into game speed
  • Using edge work in tight areas and utilizing body positioning in game-specific drills 
  • Puck protection and body contact techniques ( 2nd GROUP)

• Brandan had a great camp week last week with Paul Lamoureux Ascend Hockey! Lots of drills he's never done before and skating techniques that were truly challenging for him! Thanks for all the time you spent helping him, Paul! 

• Paul is awesome! He has been working with our boys since the fall and we have seen so much improvement in hockey as well as confidence. Paul has come to our house, met us in Vinton and Lynchburg and is always very accommodating to our schedule. We recently attended the first week of hockey camp with Paul and his brothers and it was amazing. They were all great with the kids -my boys loved going each night for on and off ice. We would highly recommend Paul, he is the best!

• The Ascend Pro Skills Development Camp that Coach Paul designed was organized and professional. Our son is new to hockey and only skated a handful of times prior to camp. The camp focused on off ice training and on ice training to take players to the next level. We saw tremendous growth in our sons abilities as the week progressed. Coach Paul and his Coaching staff showed patience and expertise to help our son grow not only as a player and but also an individual. Overall, excellent experience that we recommend. We look forward to and plan to attend future Ascend Hockey camps!
