Greetings, Jr Dawgs' teams and families:

We wanted to share with you about a new opportunity to raise funds for the Valley Youth Hockey Association.

Below, you will find a flyer with information about an online raffle.  The prize is four seats to the April 5th Carolina Hurricanes vs. Washington Capitals game with a 7PM puck drop.  Tickets are valued at a total of $800+.  See flyer for the view from the seats! 

Raffle details, in short:

Prices for entries are as follows--10 entries for $10; 30 entries for $25; 75 entries for $50; 200 entries for $100; 500 entries for $200.  All payments are online.  Online payment options are credit card, debit card or Google pay.

What do we need you to do?

1) First, simply, spread the word!  Send the QR code link via the flyer or send the link to all the people you know to purchase entries!  The more people we reach, the more funds we raise!

2) We are using Rally Up, an online vendor, to make this process more streamlined; however, upon checkout, Rally Up will ask for a tip.  For your information, tips received do not support VYHA; instead, they cover Rally Up's expenses.  Tips are not mandatory by any means!

What are we doing?

Your VYHA board acquired the tickets for the raffle and worked with Rally Up to make the raffle process a "go".  In addition, our plan is to place the QR code flyer at local restaurants, breweries and businesses.  If YOU know of any establishment willing to support VYHA by sharing the QR code via our flyer/providing the link online OR an establishment willing to allow us to leave flyers on site, please contact Scott Kanode (sckanode@gmail.com).

What happens with the proceeds?

All proceeds from this fundraiser go directly to the VYHA general fund and will help to support YOUR player on the ice, now and in years to come.  As an association, we think it is of utmost importance to be financially sound, while still striving to grow ice hockey as a sport in the Roanoke Valley and surrounding areas.  Our goal is to couple being cost effective while maintaining increased access to high level training and challenging team play.  Our goal for this fundraiser is $40,000.00!  With your help, we can spread the word around the Roanoke Valley and to friends/family beyond and meet our goal!
