As we recap and celebrate the past Valley Youth Hockey season, it is important for us to recognize the efforts of the Board of Directors and appreciate the work that has been done over the past year in support of our organization. Through their service, the Board has worked tirelessly for the growth of youth hockey in the Roanoke Valley.  The VYHA Board consists of ten members with each member serving a three year term.  It is necessary to elect four (4) Directors this year at the VYHA General Membership Meeting.

Board members whose three year term expires this year include:

Scott Kanode
Additional spot recently vacated by Misty Amos

With the expiration of these terms of office, we must look forward to the future by selecting Board Members to serve Valley Youth Hockey for the next three years.  Valley Youth Hockey desires capable and committed individuals who are interested in leading our association into the future.  Prior to submitting your your vote for the Board, please bear in mind that we need people who are willing to attend meetings on a regular basis, represent themselves and their children in an objective and diplomatic fashion and be willing to take on a leadership role in various aspects of the Association. 

All VYHA members are eligible to submit one vote to elect four candidates. Members are defined by VYHA Bylaws as "The parents, or legal guardians of any valley youth hockey
player of good standing, and/or volunteers are eligible for
membership with full privileges thereof, provided said youth
meets the requirements as prescribed by the corporation".
