House League

The Registration "House League" is not currently available.

VYHA House League

The goal of Valley Youth Hockey Associations’ House League program is to teach children how to be better skaters, to learn how to play the game of hockey and to have fun doing so. VYHA utilizes a core of dedicated coaches to help our players master the fundamental skills essential to be better hockey players, while learning the basics of the game. VYHA House League is the perfect recreational hockey opportunity for beginning/intermediate hockey players, but also offers a chance for more advanced players to sharpen their hockey skills in a supportive environment.  Practices for the VYHA House League program begin shortly after Labor Day.  House League games start by mid-October and run through the end of the winter season in Late February.

The Registration "House League" is not currently available.

Practice Schedule for the 2022-2023 Season

2022-2023 House League Season is scheduled to tentatively start the week of September 11th, 2022.

The official schedule will be announced sometime in August.

House League Leadership

House League Director - Josh Hull

The House League is under the direction of VYHA’s Player-Coach Committee.  The Player-Coach Committee appoints a Director for each VYHA House League.   The Directors are responsible for the development, organization, and supervision of on-ice hockey programs.

Coaches.

House League teams are coached by volunteer parents selected by VYHA Player-Coach Committee. Each team usually has a head-coach and one or two assistants. Coaches usually coach their own child’s team.  Coaches are required to attend coaching clinics as determined by USA Hockey.

House League Registration

The 2022-2023 House league registration is expected to open up the first week of August. Be on the lookout for the registration link soon!

In the meantime, you will need to obtain a 2020-2021 USA Hockey registration number prior to registering your player. This is not a VYHA rule but one imposed by USA Hockey. Your player will not be permitted on the ice for any practices or games without this registration.
